The Center for Dance Education and Preservation will develop with the partners a digital database to preserve intangible cultural heritage in the field of

■ performing arts, especially dance. This digital base can be extended to other areas of intangible cultural heritage, as foreseen by the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2003:

■ oral traditions and expressions, including language as vehicle of the intangible cultural heritage;

■ social practices, rituals and festive events;

■ knowledge and practices concerning nature and the universe;

■ traditional craftsmanship.

Since the Center will bring together all the players in the sector, it will be possible for us to carry out a support role for individual artists and companies and to put into practice solutions for their mobility.
